When filming Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, Universal Studios was unable to secure permits to shoot some scenes on site in Tokyo. In order to get the required shots, the production crew filmed without permission and hired a “fall guy” to claim he was the director when authorities showed up. The “fall guy” was arrested instead of the real director and spent a night in jail. ¹⁾.
