Destruction is a German thrash metal band formed in 1982.¹⁾

The band was initially called Knight of Demon but changed their name to Destruction in 1983.²⁾

The founding members of Destruction were Schmier (Marcel Schirmer), Mike Sifringer, and Tommy Sandmann.³⁾
