Bill Finger and Bob Kane developed the renowned 'Dark Knight,' nicknamed Batman. Finger, on the other hand, did not gain recognition for his contribution until after his death. 1)
In May 1939, Batman made his debut in DC Comics' 'Detective Comics #27'. The 'Dark Knight' would eventually become the series' primary character. 2)
The superhero's true name, “Bruce Wayne,” is a mix of the names of Robert the Bruce and Mad Anthony Wayne, both revolutionary heroes. 3)
Bruce Wayne was a child when his parents were murdered. Since then, Bruce has vowed to exact vengeance on the culprits and has pledged to uphold the rule of law in Gotham. 4)
Alfred, Batman's butler, is devoted to him. Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth is shown as Bruce Wayne's surrogate father figure as well as his faithful butler. It's also worth mentioning that Pennyworth formerly worked as a Special Operations Executive. 5)
“Robin” is the name of Batman's sidekick. Dick Grayson is Robin's true identity, and he is Batman's right-hand man. Robin didn't make his first appearance in the Gotham-based comic series until Issue #38. 6)
As both Batman and the police commissioner, Jim Gordon, sought to rid Gotham City of crime, they forged a solid friendship. 7)
