Amanda Award

The Amanda Award is given to promote and improve Norwegian film. The Amanda is awarded annually at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund, Norway. The award dates back to 1985 and has been exclusively a film award (not a television award ) since 2005. 1)

Agatha Award

Agatha Award is an American literary award, given to authors of crime and thriller novels. It is named after Agatha Christie, the best-selling author of crime novels in literary history. At the annual convention in Washington, DC, the Agatha Award is given in five categories. 2)

America's Cup

America's Cup is the oldest trophy still awarded. The name of the trophy does not come from America as the organizer (because it is not always) but from the yacht “America”, which was the first to win the race around the Isle of Wight in 1851. Its name is not “Cup of America” but “America's cup”. 3)

Eisner Award

The Eisner Award has been called the Oscar of comics. The Eisner Awards were first presented in 1988 at the Comic-Con International in San Diego. In the comics community, it is generally considered the most important award in the industry and is referred to as the Oscar of comics. The Eisner Award was created to replace the Kirby Awards, given from 1985 to 1987. 4)

Robert A. Heinlein has won the most Hugo and Nebula awards. 5)
