Albert Einstein

Annus Mirabilis

In 1905, within few months, young, widely unknown worker of patent office from Bern, wrote and published series four groundbreaking papers. All fundamentally changed physics and our look at the Universe. First was about photoelectric effect (particle theory of light, proposed photon), second was explaining Brownian motion (proof of atom existence), third introduced special relativity (relation between space and time), and forth about mass–energy equivalence (that led to famous equation E=mc2). Albert Einstein was only 26 at the time1).
