Jarrett Adams

At the age of 17, Jarrett Adams was wrongly accused and convicted of sexual assault. He was sentenced to 28 years in prison. A cellmate who worked at the prison library convinced Adams to try to get his conviction overturned, and he began spending most of his time in the library reading law books. Eventually, he was able to get his sentence overturned after nearly 10 years of incarceration. He went on to atttend community college, then law school and now works as an attorney for the Innocence Project. 1)
